Dr. Morris’s journey into medicine began early. A native of Mobile, Alabama, she graduated as valedictorian of Daphne High School and earned early acceptance into the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. During her undergraduate years, she stood out as both a scholar and a leader—receiving numerous honors, including Greek Woman of the Year in 1999. She continued her medical education at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, where she earned a full-merit scholarship and graduated at the top of her class.
Her academic excellence and dedication to patient care earned her induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Morris completed her residency at the renowned Duke University Medical Center, where she received the Duke Ocular Innovation Award for her groundbreaking research on bimatoprost gel for eyelash growth—now known as LATISSE®. She then completed a prestigious two-year fellowship in oculofacial plastic and orbital reconstructive surgery at the University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University—an elite training experience that shaped her into one of the country’s few surgeons with highly specialized expertise in this field.
